What Is Industrial Photography and Why Is It Important?

What is Industrial photography and why is it important?

In the world of business today photography is worth a million words. Everything from websites to brochures and television advertisements rely on high quality pictures to get a business's message across. Industrial photography is a specialized field of photography which makes it possible for businesses to communicate with customers and other businesses showcasing their industrial process, machines, and techniques. The photographs not only need to be shiny with balanced hues and highlights but also need to effectively communicate the meaning of the photograph in less in a second. This is why these types of photographs require a skilled photographer with years of experience photographing industrial machinery, locations and manufacturing processes.

The importance of an industrial photographer

An expert will be able to take photographs which are interesting and showcase everything you want from every angle leaving no questions in the mind of the person looking at the photograph. He or she should have an eye for detail and be able to generate interest out of everyday / normal machines. This means that the photos need to be more like a piece of art rather than just specialized images. For instance an expert will photograph an everyday, regular and ordinary conveyor belt in a way which would generate interest by highlighting specific areas and blurring out the background. These images when laid out on commercial advertising material like a brochure or a PowerPoint presentation will tell the story of the process.

Enhancing your online image

Apart from physical posters and brochures the right images will enhance your professional image online. A website displaying top notch photographs of every industrial process the business is involved in will add credibility and interest in the mind of the viewer. This in turn will help a business earn a lead, sell a product or be able to improve its image as a business online. Photography of machines and processes for each medium ie internet and print is slightly different. It requires a slightly different approach but an expert with years of experience will know which approach to take in order to ensure that the pictures communicate exactly what the business needs to get the desired result. This is why it is important for business owners to hire photographers who have experience and with a diverse portfolio.

Hiring an industrial photographer

Industrial photography is serious business and so you shouldn't leave it to an amateur to do the job and expect great results. Always look through a photographer's portfolio to make sure that he has taken great photographs in the past. Ideally, he should have a diverse portfolio which would then mean that he is able to take photographs for both your website and print campaign.

Zero Zero Financing on Automobiles in Retrospect

Some say that the automobile industry saved the economy during the last recession. This is because auto sales are bundled into retail sales, which allowed higher numbers than actual to be reported. Many will say that what is good for General Motors is good for America, they might even cite the fact that the automobile industry saved the economy at the bottom of the last recession.

Remember when Mitsubishi did the Zero-Zero-Zero plan. This was a calculated risk and were betting on the election year gold rush to help pay for any of the fall-out in loans? Well that never came because the US interest rates stayed down, job recovery came late and Domestics along with those other foreign automobile companies did quite well. So what is happening now due to this decision to go 0-0-0, well many of those loans have gone South, and the Yen is high against the dollar and now Mitsubishi is about 2 billion in the hole at last count. The Mitsubishi bail-out cost at least $ 1.9 billion US Dollars. Many auto industry economic advisors had mixed opinions on this, but for the most part thought the plan for zero-zero-zero was foolish. Zero money down, Zero interest rates and zero payments until next year. This was in 2002 and today 45% of those cars have either been turned back in, repo'ed, sold at auction or are in default. All good things, which are not reality based do come to an end. Many knew there was going to be a problem as the sales winded down and we were being strung out on our payments from a few dealerships out there.

Triple zero was not a win / win for the consumer, their credit or the company. Many of those vehicles were bought by first time buyers who never even made the first payment which started many months later, yet had put over 15,000 miles on those cars and reduced its value by over 65%, ouch, that is a nightmare from a banker perspective. No wonder Corporate America wanted bankruptcy reform, even though such a reckless lending of credit was a completely foolish business move.

American consumers today are upside down in their high priced SUVs, they owe more than they are worth and those who bought gas-guzzlers in 2002 are still paying on vehicles, which are not running very well today. Most had paid sticker price or near to get the zero-zero and still others got a rebate, which was used for a down payment to make the deal. I met a gentleman who filled up his beautiful Suburban the other day. His total came to $ 97.00 and he was pretty depressed, I actually thought he was going to cry. We got to talking about his beautiful Venti sized SUV and he told me it cost $ 48,000 and had all the bells and whistles. I was impressed and asked him what he did for a living. He works for the local city and said he was able to afford it due to the zero zero program and he wanted to sell it now due to fuel costs as he is divorced and now single. He is thinking something more economical might be a better plan? Perhaps a hybrid? I guess I understand what he is saying. He explained he could not sell the vehicle because he still owes $ 39,440 on it and it is only worth $ 18,000 now. What a nice guy with a disaster of a brain for a financial planner, but alas he is not so much worse off than you, is he. Sixteen point nine million

Americans bought new automobiles on the zero zero plan. Perhaps they did not plan on this; the $ 3.00 per gallon gas prices. Are you one of them? How does that make you feel? Think about it.

Is Survival A Natural Human Instinct?

The world is not a safe place. There are numerous natural and man-made disasters which affect individuals and groups of people daily. While human beings often die in these catastrophes, you will still hear amazing tales of unlikely survival. In simple terms, regular human beings are able to stay alive in the most extraordinary and unusual circumstances.

This phenomenon has happened countless times and continues to puzzle people. Is it the natural instinct of humans to keep living? Is determination the driving force for disaster survival? Why and what for do people fight so hard to survive? Why do some people survive under unlikely circumstances while others die in less dire situations?

The famous evolution expert, Charles Darwin, presented concrete evidence-based theories on the survival of creatures. This scientist proved in the 1800 that natural selection and survival are intertwined. Natural selection is a simple theory which emphasizes on one unshakable concept: only the strong survive.

Simply speaking, every form of life is exposed to constant danger because none is supreme in the food chain or over natural disasters. When a disaster strikes, the weakest in the population will die. The strong will continue living and passing on their genes to the next generation. As a result, the particular species is able to keep thriving and overcoming challenges. This simple concept of natural selection can help us understand if human beings really have a natural predisposition to keep surviving against all odds. In this short discussion, we will examine the human survival instincts which have managed to keep the species going for millenniums.

The most obvious hard-wired instinct for survival is manifested in form of the fight-or-flight response. This physiological reaction occurs if a person senses the threat to their survival or any harmful attack or event. As implied, this is a biological response which helps a person in adverse situations either fight or flee from the danger.

The reaction begins in the brain's amygdala which in turn triggers the hypothalamus gland. This process is also followed by the secretion of the ACT hormone. This hormone triggers the adrenal glands to produce epinephrine or adrenaline and cortisol. When these biochemical secretions are released, they help the body prepare for violent muscle action.

In simple terms, the hormones will cause an acceleration of physiological functions which will be useful when fighting or fleeing. For example, heart and lung action will accelerate in order to supply the body with oxygen for muscle action. Metabolic resources such as stored glucose and fats will be liberated to provide sufficient energy. Awareness of the surroundings and vision also improves.

In general, the body will also limit the resources to parts of the body that are not required for immediate survival. For instance, digestion in the upper stomach and intestines will slow down or stop. There will be inhibition of tear and saliva production as well as the bladder might relax and other sphincter muscles will be affected.

When a person is in danger, the fight-or-flight response will kick in. Some people will have unusual strength to fight the source of peril while others will have the supernatural ability to flee from the scene. Often, this is known as hysterical strength because it goes beyond the normal bounds due to the specific situation. The fight and flight response is particularly valuable when fighting for family. For example, mothers will be able to lift a car when their children are in danger. A father will run into a flaming building despite the danger to save his family.

The concept of opposites attracting is more than a fancy theory. In a certain experiment, it was proven that people choose partners who will ensure the survival of their genes. Human beings are built differently at a genetic level, including their level of immunity. People with lower immunity are more prone to sickness and death in case of adverse situations.

If an individual chooses a partner with the same genetic code for immunity, their child is likely to be vulnerable to multiple diseases. In ideal circumstances, one will choose a partner with opposite or at least different immune strengths than them. This will allow their child to have a better chance of surviving when exposed to dangerous situations.

So, how do humans recognize the right partner? According to the BBC show Human Instinct, it is all in the nose. In their experiment, a man was exposed to the natural scent of six women, sight unseen. The smells that he found to be most appealing belonged to women who did not share the genes linked to the immune system. This phenomenon is designed to create the best family unit.

There are other intrinsic survival instincts which help individuals and the entire human race continue surviving. For example, human babies are born without any form of defense against threats to their existence. However, they are able to convey their needs by crying in different volumes and pitches to convey their desires. Also, babies have almost universal appeal to people because of their general cuteness and adorable. This phenomenon helps elicit a care-giving response in people ensuring their continued survival. It is theorized that cuter babies have an advantage in survival.

People are also hardwired to avoid poisonous foods which could threaten survival. As an adult, one has the ability to understand poison in a logical way, mostly. However, babies can only rely on instinct to determine what is safe. That is why babies will reject bitter food and choose sweet energy-giving foods.

Human instincts are designed to promote survival, but ultimately, our connections to family, children and other relations provide the strength to fight unbeatable odds.

Plan, prepare, protect, get through, hold on, hold out, make it, and keep body, soul and family together. You need a plan to prepare and to protect yourself and your family. Survival is our Strategy! "

A Valuable Review of "Alternative Investing: Making Money Outside the Stock Market"

During the economic recession in September and October 2008, most investors lost a lot of money due to a huge banking crisis which caused the stock market to crash. For those with most of their money in the stock market, the crash became a catastrophic nightmare. In many cases, people lost everything, not just in the stock market, but in most other investments as well.

In 2012, financial investigator, Robert Cancellaro published a book that challenges what most investors would say, "Nope". "Bad idea", "Won't work." Alternative Investing: Making Money outside the Stock Market introduces a revolutionary idea that "collectibles" are better investments than traditional investments, like the stock market. Collectibles have no financial ties to the stock market, but they have the financial strength to make money.

Cancellaro investigates seven categories of collectibles that have historically gone up in value. The following categories are known as tangible assets – items you can hold and definitely hold onto autographs, postage stamps, precious metals and coins, comic books, sports cards, and investment-grade wine. Why did the author choose these "misfit" collectibles as investments? Answer: They have consistently outperformed the S & P 500 by a large margin.

All seven categories include their own lists of specific items that have consistently increased in value over their lifetime and have held steady appeal to those who have bought them. However, before you buy anything, it's important to learn as much about collectibles as you can. The Internet has an endless number of resources; the most important ones are included in Cancellaro's book. In addition to the Internet, you can visit and search libraries or bookstores to look for books that contain general information and price guides.

The keys that drive collectibles' values are based on the fact they are tangible. In other words, it can be touched, making them a part of the law of low supply and high demand. So, the items in Cancellaro's list are hard to find yet they are popular and many people want them, which increases their value. For some collectibles, their conditions are extremely important; the better the condition, the more valuable it might be. The items in Cancellaro's lists are expensive. If you want the item, you may have to pay a lot, but its value will most likely go up over a period of time. Above all, time is your most important ally because the longer you keep it the more value it adds to your collectible. So it is important to protect your collection safely from the elements and stay in the same condition you bought it.

Autographs, postage stamps, precious metals and coins, comic books, sports cards and investment-grade wine can become part of your investment strategy. You should not always trust the stock market; it can go up just as much as it can go down, whereas collectibles' values have remained more stable. Obtaining information is a must for buying trustworthy collectibles that keep their value. Not only is it a sensible and clever move now, but it will also financially protect you against the next stock market catastrophe or world financial crisis. Also, Cancellaro lists specific recommendations on what to buy in all seven categories. When the economy sinks the next time, don't squander your money in the stock market. So, choose carefully, buy and keep an alternative investment.

What is SEO Article Writing? – SEO Copywriting Explained

Many freelancers have questions about what is SEO; what is SEO copywriting; what is SEO writing. This article explains – in detail – what this is. And, how to make money from it as a freelance writer.

What is SEO?

SEO is an acronym for the phrase "search engine optimization." Search engine optimization is all about doing specific things to your website to drive more traffic to it so that you can increase online sales – and traffic.

What are some of these "things?"

There are many, but here we will discuss what it is as it applies to freelance writers. And, this means writing text in a certain way so that web surfers (ie, internet users) can land on a particular site.

What is SEO As It Relates to Freelance Writers?

What freelance writers need to be concerned with is keywords. What are keywords? Keywords are the words and phrases that web surfers type in when they search for things online.

For example, let's say you were interested in starting a foreclosure cleanup business. You may not know anything about it other than foreclosures are hot in the news right now and you are interested in starting this kind of company.

So, you log onto your favorite search engine, (eg, Google, Yahoo! MSN, etc.) and type in the keywords "foreclosure cleaning business" or "foreclosure cleaning" or "foreclosure cleanup" or some other relevant keyword phrase.

Note: When you type words into a search engine to find something on the internet, the words you type in are called a keyword (one word) or a keyword phrase (two or more words with commas in between).

How Businesses Get to the Top of Search Engine Results

When you type in these words and hit "ENTER", a bunch of sites pop up and you start to surf (ie, click on the results) and start investigating the sites to see if they have the information you need.

The sites that pop up are the results that search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, et al think are the most relevant to the keyword phrase (aka search phrase) you typed in. Companies pay a lot of money to be among the first two or three pages in the results that search engines return.

Why SEO Copywriters are So In Demand and How They Make Their Money

One of the ways they get to pop up in the first two or three pages of results is to have relevant text that contains the proper keyword phrases. And, this is where you as an SEO copywriter can make a lot of money. You write the text that their site needs to pop up high in search engine results.

Many times, companies will simply give you a bunch of keyword phrases and let you write what you want – as long as it's a certain length (usually 300-500 words).

There are many freelance writers – hundreds of thousands, if not a few million. BUT, only a tiny minority know what SEO is and how to write this type of copy. And, this is why they're so in demand.

SEO copywriters have an in-demand skill. And, as more and more companies move larger portions of their advertising budgets to internet marketing, there is an even greater demand for their skills.

In the SearcheEngineWatch article, The SEO Copywriter: Wordsmithing the Web , William Flaiz, underscores the importance of an SEO copywriter. He writes:

"The role of the agency SEO copywriter is unique because …. Suddenly, the writer must optimize press releases, craft articles for social news, monitor social network communications, and develop wiki content …. a strong SEO copywriter is adaptable and capable of internalizing a lot of new information extremely quickly. These unique individuals have fast become the backbone of many SEO engagements. If content is king, then they [SEO copywriters] are the kingmakers. "

And this is why SEO copywriters can charge a premium for their services. If you're looking for a way to start or maximize your income as an online freelance writer, then SEO copywriting is they way to go.

Direct Sales Team Vs Distributor – Which is Better For an International Market?

If you're looking to expand your sales to new markets, then there's one big question you must ask: do I build a direct sales presence or use a distributor? Each method has its benefits and drawbacks, but we're going to make a strong case to use one method over the other in almost every instance.

What's the difference between direct sales and distributors?
A direct sales presence means that your company establishes, manages, and pays a sales team of one or more people in the target market.

An outside agent is any entity that will sell your product in exchange for a service fee. One example is a sales rep, who sells your product in exchange for a percent of the sale. A distributor is similar to a rep, except they would buy product from your company and sell it directly to the end customer.

Is Direct Sales Better?
For most businesses expanding into new markets, especially international markets, hiring a distributor is a better decision-at least until there is enough return from the market to justify building a direct sales presence.

Sure, there is one major advantage to having a direct sales presence-control. Control over the day to day activities of your sales personnel is appealing to most business owners. But this control comes at a heavy price. To start, you'll need to spend the time to hire someone in that market, then train them, then equip them with sales material and management, if not office space and equipment. These costs are prohibitive for most small businesses looking to expand internationally.

And there are even more costs that we haven't mentioned yet. Each market has it's own unique laws, cultures and customs that are essential to master if your company wants to establish a successful sales presence. Japan is a classic example of a marketplace with unique legal structures and business customs that, if not followed, guarantee the failure of any sales efforts. It's hard to pin down an exact monetary value to this learning, but ask yourself this: Can you afford to establish, manage, and pay a sales force in a foreign country for at least a year while they learn the ropes and generate no revenue?

What about a Distributor? Is a Distributor better for new markets?
Distributors are a cost effective means to enter a new marketplace successfully. Here are just a few of the reasons:

  • No Overhead: Unlike running your own sales team, a distributor will take care of the hiring, managing, payment, and optimization of its channel. You're just borrowing their distribution, while they handle the maintenance.
  • Established Channel with Local Knowledge: A good distributor will already know all the laws and customs of the market you're entering. You don't need to reinvent the wheel-you can use someone who already has valuable local knowledge.
  • Understand Pricing and Purchasing Power of Market: Along with knowledge of the laws and customs comes knowledge about the most successful ways to price and market your product locally.
  • Cost Effective: Since you won't be paying for the above items, distributor relationships are much more within reach of a small business trying to enter a new market.

Using a distributor has some downsides as well, but they can be minimized by building a good relationship with a distributor.

  • Not your own people: You won't be able to directly manage every step of the process. While it may make you nervous to lose some control over the sales process, you can manage the risk by building a transparent relationship with your distributor with constant updates and feedback from both ends.
  • Distributor has many products to represent: You may not be the distributor's top priority at any given time, and you want to be sure your product is not getting shuffled to the back of the line. Once again, a well-established relationship with constant contact will ensure that your product is getting the attention it deserves.
  • Not a "turn key" solution: You can't just give the distributor your products and expect success. You'll have to manage the relationship. This takes time, but it's still less costly than trying to install a direct sales team from scratch.

So what do I do next?
If you aren't convinced that a distributor would be better for your organization than establishing a direct sales team, seek help from a consultant who has experience establishing a presence in new markets. A consultant can use his or her experience to analyze your opportunity and recommend the best course of action.

Before you choose a distributor, you need to know ….
Choosing the wrong distributor will set you up for failure. The wrong distributor simply won't generate sales, and you'll have wasted at least a year finding and setting up an unprofitable relationship.

There are certain things to look for in a distributor, and they are different for every market. The best thing to do is to find a professional, one with experience in distributor relationships, and hire that professional to help you search for and identify the right distributor.

Crypto TREND 2017-01

Everyone has heard how Bitcoin and other crypto currencies have made millionaires of those who bought as recently as a year ago. Gains of 1,000% or more are not just possible, they have been common place with many of these crypto currencies. Someone who bought Bitcoin in May 2016 at less than $ 500, would have had a gain of 1,400% in about 17 months. Then over the past few days, we saw Bitcoin lose almost $ 1,000, so to say these crypto currencies are volatile would be a massive understatement.

Since the inception of Bitcoin in 2008, we at Trend News have been skeptical of crypto currencies' ability to survive, given that they present a very clear threat to governments who want to see and tax all transactions. But while we may still be cautious on the actual crypto currencies, we are very aware of the potential of the underlying technology that powers these electronic currencies. In fact, we believe that this technology will be a significant disruptor in how data is managed, and that it will impact every sector of the global economy, much like how the internet impacted media.

Here are some questions & answers to get us started …

Q: What are Crypto Currencies?

The most well known crypto currency (CC) is BITCOIN. It was the first CC, started in 2008. Today there are more than 800 CC's, including Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Ripple, Monero, and they are all "virtual". There are no "physical" coins or currency.

Q: How do CC's work?

CC's are virtual currencies that exist in very large distributed databases. These databases use BLOCKCHAIN technology. Because each Blockchain database is widely distributed, it is thought to be immune to hacking, as there is no central point of attack and every transaction is visible to everyone on the network. Each CC has a group of administrators, often called "miners", who validate transactions. One CC called Ethereum uses "smart contracts" to validate transactions. Crypto TREND will provide more details in upcoming news publications.

Q: What is BLOCKCHAIN?

Blockchain is the technology that underpins all CC's. Each transaction for the purchase, sale, or exchange of CC's is entered into a BLOCK that is added to the chain. This technology is complex and will not be explained here, but it has the potential to revolutionize the financial services industry, as transactions can be executed quickly and easily, reducing or eliminating fees. The technology is also being examined for applications in many other industries.

Q: Are CC Exchanges regulated by government?

For the most part, the answer is NO, which, for some users, is a big attractions of this market. It is the "wild west" right now, but governments in most developed countries are examining this market to decide what regulation may be needed. A big decision is whether to treat CC's as a currency or a commodity / security. Canada and USA have so far declared that CC's are legal, however the situation remains fluid as for reporting and tax implications. Crypto TREND will be following and reporting on these developments.

Q: How do I invest in this market?

You can buy, sell, and exchange CC's using the services of specialized "Exchanges" that act as a brokerage. You start by selecting an Exchange, setting up an account, and transferring fiat currency into your account. You can then place your BUY and SELL CC orders. There are many exchanges around the world. Opening an account is fairly simple and these exchanges all have their own rules about initial funding and withdrawals.

Crypto TREND will be recommending CC Exchanges in future.

Q: Where do I keep my CC?

To have the freedom to move your crypto currencies around, and to pay bills, you will need to have a digital wallet. These wallets come in several formats, such as desktop, cloud based, hardware (USB), mobile phone, and paper. Many of them are FREE, however, security is a big factor as no one ever wants to lose their wallet or have it stolen. Crypto TREND will be recommending digital wallets in future.

Benefits of Public Health Education

Public health education can be considered an ambiguous term. It teaches the proper way to improve one's health, and can involve only one or two people, or the population of several countries. Anything that can seriously threaten the physical, mental, or spiritual health of a wide range of people, notably due to their interactions with one another, can be classified as a threat to the community's public health. This is why public health education becomes a necessary tool to aid people against the spread of potential diseases and illnesses. Five of the most important reasons of how public health education can prove beneficial are as follows:

1. People are able to learn how to prevent the spread of communicable diseases through the training and methods being taught in education. People are able to have better access to information regarding general prevention of diseases, including the knowledge of what to do and how to act during epidemics in their area. Certain diseases have their own individual prevention methods that people should be well aware of, and employing these techniques lessens the risk of being infected by possible diseases. Through public health education, even simple things such as wearing a flu mask in particularly affected areas, or knowing when to take vaccines for a particular illness that is prominent at that time of the year, always proves very effective in limiting the number of people affected annually.

2. More people are able to access private and public medical institutions to prevent diseases or medical conditions, or to better treat them. Without the benefits of a public health education, most people may feel healthy enough and not find the need to go for a general check-up. Being aware that it is necessary to see your doctor regularly is one of the important things learned in a good public health education. Most medical hospitals and clinics offer immunization or vaccine shots during the flu seasons, or when a general outbreak of hepatitis is going around, and a public health education ensures that more people know to go to these facilities and avail of the treatment, rather lessening the amount of ill people.

3. People are able to adopt a healthier behavior to lessen the risk of diseases being spread among themselves. Keeping things cleaner around the house, opting to lessen or quit smoking altogether, or exercising more are just a few of the many different ways taught in public health education to combat sickness and improve one's lifestyle.

4. People become more aware of information relating to the disease, rather than believing in just public perception. Public health education not only deals with how to prevent illnesses, it also provides details of how a disease works, which may dispel some myths and fallacies about it in society. The HIV virus for example, can be spread through unprotected sexual intercourse, but not through activities such as kissing or touching. This also helps change a person's views towards someone infected, promoting more empathy rather than discrimination.

5. People are able to help and contribute to disease prevention by supporting or volunteering at health care facilities. Public health education is more than just spreading information; It also calls people to actively participate in aiding others. To be able to protect one's health, it is also necessary to protect the health of other people around you, and helps foster a more close-knit community and a better sense of camaraderie.
